We are having a get-together in the Warwick/Stratford area on the weekend of the 6th May. Several of us are staying at the Hilton as it has a pool, very good disabled access and a nice lounge area where we can sit and natter! We have had these get togethers for the last 3 years and they are always fun (we seem to laugh all the time) and it's great to meet other RA sufferers. Some strong and lasting friendships have been formed. For those who do not want to stay at The Hilton, there are lots of good b & b's and hotels in the area. We will all meet up for a meal on Saturday lunchtime. There are also lots of things to do and see in the area. So far about 15 have said they are coming, but the number usually grows the nearer we get to the date!! Maybe you can put a note on here if you think you may be coming. It'd be lovely to see EVERYONE!! If you are near enough to come for the day, see you for lunch!

Hi Jean,
we are hoping to come this year, we had a wonderful time when we all met before in SUA, and will be lovely to see everyone again and meet some new people too.

I would love to come but I have just realised that if it is on the weekend of 6th May, the Saturday is when I do my skydive with NRAS (7th)..

The skydive is Oxford way at RAF Weston so depending on times, I could come by afterwards ThumpUp

Can I just check I've got this right Jean? Have you booked into the Hilton at Warwick - but the lunch is at the Hilton in Stratford on Avon - I've lost the plot! (Doesn't take much.) lol

I've just replied on FB to say I would just book myself in for the lunch but Jimmy says he might want to come and Julian says we should think of staying over.

Hi Julie

Jean, Jenni and Anthea and partners etc. are booked into Hilton Warwick Friday 6th and Saturday 7th, but the meal on the Saturday is going to be somewhere, not yet decided as far as I know, in Stratford Upon Avon. Does that make sense?

I hope to come but it will have to be train, as I can't sit in a car for that distance (my knees will be locked solid!), so am not sure about getting between places ... Always issues with this disease!! When we went to Maidenhead I couldn't unlock my room, my hands and keys are not good together, then I got stuck in the back of Helly's car ... don't ask ... I had to be pulled out forcibly Scared . I am a liability!!! RollEyes

Hope all's well with you Julie,

At the middle/end of March, we will book somewhere for lunch. There are a few places which I will post up shortly which look brilliant and are not too expensive. All of them are disabled friendly and all of them can cope with us lot!! If you intend to stay at The Hilton Warwick/Stratford, may I suggest you book fairly soon just to make sure of getting a room! So far, at The Hilton: Jenni, Richard, Michael & Berny; Steve and Jean: Anthea and Geoff plus around 7 or 8 more who are booking soon and another 5 or 6 who are coming for the meal.

Lyn - don't worry about transport - if you can manage the car by then, we'll take you. If not we'll pick you up at the station and take you from place to place, so no probs. xxxxxxx

Thanks for updating me all. As you can tell, I don't know the area at all. Hoping to make it for the lunch at the very least. Have been wanting to meet you all for ages.

Can I ask you something, Julie? PLEASE PLEASE don't wear your flimsy green dress - you always seems to climb when you wear it and we just won't have time to spend in the A & E dept after the cops have cut you down! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
